slow as cement

We'd like to draw your attention to an upcoming opportunity to mentor children of our nation’s fallen military heroes. Please take a moment to check out the great work of TAPS and consider spending a few days as a mentor to a child at the upcoming TAPS Good Grief Camp.

Current and Former Service Members - Make a Difference
Mentor Children of America's Fallen Military Heroes
TAPS National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp
October 11-14, 2019 at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, Phoenix, AZ
At the National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp, surviving military family members from across the nation will come together and connect with others who have experienced similar losses. In the Good Grief Camp, children ages 4-18 create lasting friendships, learn coping skills, build resiliency, and honor their fallen service member.
When you volunteer and mentor a TAPS kid, you are giving them a tremendous gift - the companionship, care, and support of someone who knows what it means to serve.  Side by side with other mentors and TAPS Youth Programs staff, veterans play an important part as 150 surviving military children from across the country come together and connect with others just like them. With a mentor like you by their side, TAPS kids create lasting friendships, learn coping skills, and honor their fallen service member.  We have a current need for additional volunteers. Veterans can really make a difference -- let our TAPS kids tell you themselves the impact you can make in this role.

Anyone eligible can apply at taps.org/militarymentor.  Questions can be directed to mentors@taps.org or 202-588-TAPS (8277).
